Control Zero Halogens

600 V / 90 °C

General description

Cable with two or more soft drawn copper conductors with ethylene propylene (EPR) thermosetting insulation, black colored, identified by numbers stamped on the insulation, fillers, binder tape and thermosetting jacket (polyolefin).

Specifications

  • Viakon Zero Halogen control cables meet the following specifications:
  • NOM-063-SCFI Electric products- conductors - Safety requirements.
  • NMX-J-300-ANCE Low Voltage Power Cables with no-flame propagation, low smoke and zero halogen content characteristics, 600 V 90°C.

Certifications

Main applications

  • Due to their excellent characteristics, these cables are used in installations where maximum safety is required in case of a fire such as in power plants, crowded locations, shipboard, etc.
  • Can be installed in trays or conduits and in underground or sunlight exposed facilities, in wet or dry locations.

Characteristics

  • Maximum operation voltage: 600 V.
  • Maximum operation temperature in the conductor: 90° C.
  • Soft drawn concentric lay stranded copper conductor class B (7 wires)
  • Manufactured in sizes from 0,823 5 to 5,26 mm2 (18 to 10 AWG).
  • No flame propagation.
  • Thermosetting insulation and jacket made of ethylene propylene rubber (EPR) and polyolefin respectively, with low smoke emission and zero-halogen content characteristics.
  • Identified by numbers stamped on the insulation.
  • Black outer jacket.
  • Advantages.

Advantages

  • Meets the no-flame propagation test (NMX-J-093), the low smoke emission test (NMX-J-474) and low acid gas content test (NMX-J-472).
  • Thermosetting insulation offers higher heat stability.
  • Highly resistant to abrasion, oil, chemical solvents, and moisture
  • In case of fire, they provide a higher safety level than the corresponding type LS cables
